The International School of Africa (ISA) is a PK-Grade 9 International School located on the Horn of Africa in the beautiful country of Djibouti.

ISA’s teaching and learning structure is based on the American Common Core State Curriculum Standards (CCS). The CCS denote specific measures that outline “what 21st century learners should know and be able to do.”  The focused standards are cross-curricular and build upon improving literacy and academic rigor.  ISA’s has an array of multi-cultural staff who represent 13 different nationalities. Our intent is ensure that our students matriculate from ISA as global citizens who are College and Career Ready.  All classes are delivered in English with an emphasis in French and Arabic which are both embedded as part of our World Languages experiences.  We look forward to hearing from you as you explore our site to learn more about ISA and our Djiboutian Community.

ISA - Admissions admission overview

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. The school must be a good fit for your child and your family. We are excited that you are considering ISA for your child’s education. The goal of the admissions process is to provide an orderly transition into the right placement level at ISA.

ISA currently serves children in three-year-old Kindergarten through Grade 8, adding Grade 9 for the 2020-2021 school year.


Admission Policy

ISA invites you to call our School Office to set up a time to visit the school. At that visit, you will be given a list of required paperwork along with instructions for the admissions process.
