Mr. Julian hosted ISA’s first Science Quiz Bowl for students in Grades Six and Seven. Teams of five students competed in 5 rounds of science-related questions from a wide range of topics.
Students had an opportunity to meet with the young entrepreneurs that launched Buuti TV in Djibouti. The students learned the technical and business aspects of how the organization operates during interviews and observation sessions.
On March 19, 2020, all students at ISA honored their mothers through poetry, songs and skits. Our mothers were overwhelmed with joy as each class performed. At the end of each performance the students presented their moms with a red rose.
As part of our ongoing requirements at ISA. Our students engage in service learning opportunities that benefit our Djiboutian community. Our students cleaned up parts of Douda beach as part of their “service to the community day.”
On February 20, 2020, the rematch of the century occurred. The show down of the Parents vs. ISA staff soccer game. There were a series of 2 matches of which the ISA team sadly lost both. Parents were victorious and claimed the prize for a second year in a row. Congratulations to our moms and dads.
ISA Families were invited to campus for a day of Family Fun to celebrate before going on Winter Break in December. The celebration included games, face painting, music and food. Families and staff participated a time of fun and games together, taking some time to enjoy some activities together.
